Whistling sounds from speakers when engine reved?

Hello people
I have a gen 2, 2.0, y reg.

Fitted a DVD player today in to me car. took bit of diy to do so. Noticed that there is a faint whistle coming from the speaker which is in rhythm to my engine. so when i rev, the whistle gets higher. and if i put the dvd player on mute or take it off, the whistle goes away :roll:

Thought this was kind of weird TBH lol

Any suggestions?

you have yourself an alternator whine..

Use this guide to see if you can figure out what's causing it.

It is pretty confusing as it didnt do it i my previous HU and now does in the new one and all has the same wiring lol
Ill have a look through the guide.

in that case, it's more than likley a fault in the earth track on the head unit, try connecting the earth direct to some metal to see if it goes away.
