with a sensable offset there's no problems what so ever with 17s you can even put 18s on but then there is a possibility of rubbing.

no but i prefer the 18's i now have i found the ride on 17's terrible but mine is lowered.

The Gen3 V6 comes as standard with 17's - as long as you stick to 215/45/17 rubber you'll be absolutely fine.

Careful of the offset on the wheels though, too far in and the car looks like it'll fall over, too far out and it'll look equally ridiculous ;)
