Hi all, i have a 2.0 auto from 2006 and i have had the car for nine months now.
As of this last week, while changing from 2nd to 3rd it has starded jerking really bad! It only starts to do it after around twenty mins of driving.
I changed the gear oil a few days ago, which took around 4 litres (although it says it takes 7.8l in the book). The oil was quite black when i changed it, so not sure when it was last done.
The problem is still there!!
Its really frustrating cos i really love my coupe since i got it, my plan was to really look after this one and have it for a long time! Kinda put off now, anyone know what i can do to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance fir any help.
I am just worried i put the car into a garage and it costs me hundreds just to find out the problem and then have to get a new gear box on top of that!
I hope this can be fixed without it coming to an expensive garage bill?

Hi, are you 100% sure it's the box and not the engine?

My coupe is a 2.7 auto and has done 150k and runs great.
I had to change the front cover on my auto box as it started to leak due to rust and I also only got about 4 litres in it, this is due to the fluid which is in the torque convertor which you can't drain.
