Hi, had my SIII 2 weeks now and going to have the cambelt changed next week as now 50k miles on clock.

Im also going to change the auxillary pullys as a precaution, should I change the water pump too or leave this?

Euro car parts have a water pump for under £30.00 by circoli, are these ok.

Regards

Thank you for your advice, in that case i may leave the pump if good for 150k.
If i keep the car for say 3 years it would have done around 80 to 90k, so if i still have the car then, I could do at the next cam belt change at 100k.

So i guess it should be ok to leave for now.

hi jack the stripper, ive decided to change the lot just for the piece of mind then i wont have any worries for 3 or 4 years.

i ordered a kit from shark racing, original parts too from hyundai korea, it included all the other belts and the water pump, the whole lot £129.00 inc postage, i will have to wait around 2 weeks for delivery but will fell happier knwing al this is done.

my local hyundai dealer wanted to rip me off £155.00 for the water pump alone, 600 with labour.

I know a local mechanic who will do the work for 100.00 so the lot will cost me around £230. i think that squite good.

then i can look at personalising the car a bit, not a boy racer but like a car to run smooth, ordered a k n panel filter too as my first minor mod.

Just received timing belt kit from Shark Racing, it came with water pump, pas belt, ac belt and alternator belt, a very comprehensive kit.
All the parts were in sealed Hyundai boxes and seem genuine.

Be aware though, i had to pay customes tax at around £15.00, so allow for this when comparing prices, even so still much cheaper than anywhere i could find in the uk.
Due to have all fitted next Friday, that will take care of all the preventitive maintenence, then ready for some upgrades, maybe an exhaust header!

Can yoi give advice on headers, looking at 4-2-1 from what i understand should give a bit more low end and mid range torque.

See obx headers quite cheap but dont know if any good, also seen with ceramic coating thats supposed to keepegine temps down a bit.

Sorry going off subject, ive seen a header with cat as a direct replacement for oem on CARID has anyine had experience of these? are they any good, apparently a direct replacement for the priginal without any fabrication,
